Science Day

Sorry for no update for a long time, haha. So this is my reflection and insight about what happened at our Science Day 2012.

For Junior High School especially grade 8, we had 2 projects at the same time that were shown in Science Day. We had our Food-related project with Miss Ain and terrarium with Miss May. Our terrarium was a long-term project - we started it since 2011. It took a month for us to prepare our project with Miss Ain. My group got the project to create salty eggs using clay/terracotta or can be with washing powder which is made by dregs of paddy.

Unfortunately, our salty eggs project didn't go very well because we didn't cooperate at the last minute before the D-day. This has become one of my reflection that me and my groupmates should have cooperated more. I admitted that Fellingga was the one who took care all of them the day before the Science Day. Sorry, Fellingga! I hope I will improve my cooperation in other projects so it will go successfully.

That was our terrarium over there, beside the round one (Aminy's group)

Our terrarium project didn't go very well, either. I just got the chance to prepare everything in the last week. Our plants died and we needed to change our aquarium because I think we should buy a new one since our old aquarium broke. Anyway, I had a good cooperation with Gloria even though our terrarium wasn't as nice as everybody else's. My reflection in this project will be: I will not prepare everything in the last minute, because it really stressed me out. Hehe! This is what I think. I will try to get lesson from our projects!

Oh, I forgot to mention that we also had a project with posters related to Science! Our all posters from KG to Junior High were posted in black board at the Function Room. The outcome was super nice! I feel proud with it.

Chef Rocky demonstrating how to cook pasta

We had Science and Food technology demonstration with Chef Rocky who came from the Philippines. He taught us how to cook a pasta. He looked nervous, though! Haha

So that was all I can share in our Science Day! :D
